    How long is “a while”? What if it doesn’t come on as described?

    What happen if the Moai is powered off during this process? What should we do then?

    • Make sure remove the 3Dprint.bin file from the SD card so it doesn't keep update Moai everytime you power on with the card

Put together a new machine, showing 1.14 version firmware. After installing from the moai-20180315.zip version shows as V1.15.

Also don’t see “CompensateX 100 or CompensateY 200” .

As it did update my machine can only think it is the wrong .bin flie.

Got mine from: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1acyCMmZ...

Anyone have V1.16 running and if so where did you get the file?

Thanks,

this didn’t work for me either. Used the included (Kingston) card to try to update from 1.1.15 to 1.1.16. Tried everything including re-formatting. I see the logo but then it just flashes and goes straight to the start screen like normal.

this did not work. No update, no black screen, it just loaded up as normal. followed exact instructions with a kingston SD card.

I followed this procedure, and the screen just stayed black. After 3h I turned it off, removed the SD card and turned it on again, and the screen does not light up at all. What can I do to resolve this? Is the logic board likely bricked and needs replacement?

Same issue here for me too. I posted this issue here:

https://forum.peopoly.net/t/firmware-bri...

Hopefully Peopoly will post resolution.

Did this matter get resolved? I am having the same problem.

Where to put the gcode files? Root of the sd card or a specified folder? There was one before but after formatting i can’t remeber the name of this folder

@lord_humungus

it works with the Sandisk we included and generally works better with Sandisk bran SD card.

Is there a particular reason that the SanDisk (the one it comes with) doesn’t work? So far I’ve now had to make 5 seperate trips to the store over this build because of various issues with holes not being tapped, needing to print a test circle, not having the correct tools needed to perform certain operations (like gluing the acrylic screen over the laser) and now I need a different SD card?
